About Us
Who Are We?
We are a community of believers who are passionately in love with Jesus and committed to helping people truly know Him, not just know about Him.
We believe God has placed a purpose-filled destiny inside every person, and no matter your past or present, it is never too late to discover what He has for your life.
Our leaders understand the power of God’s love, forgiveness, and resurrection. Not as a concept, but through lived experience. And they are passionate about walking with you as you grow in faith.
At The Oaks, you will find a place where you belong. A place where your story matters. A place where you can grow deeper, grow stronger, and become more confident in who God created you to be.
Sean and his wife Micah are living testimonies of God’s love, forgiveness, and redemptive power.
Their story is proof that God does not waste pain. He uses brokenness to reveal the depth of the Father’s love and to call people into freedom, healing, and purpose. That belief is not theoretical for them. It is personal. And it is the foundation on which The Oaks Church was built.
For more than 28 years, Sean has helped people break through what has held them back and step into who God created them to be. He is a dynamic and engaging communicator, known for his humor, honesty, and deep love for people. His heart is simple. Help people grow spiritually, emotionally, and relationally.
Sean and Micah live in south Oklahoma City and have three children, Saylah, Ava, and Ezra.
Alongside an incredible team of staff and volunteers, they are building something special in Oklahoma City. A safe place where brokenness is welcomed and hope is restored. A place for those who feel down and out and for those who look like they have it all together. A church where people from every walk of life come together to seek God passionately.
At The Oaks, the mission is clear. To know God’s will. To grow deeper. To grow stronger. And to reach Oklahoma City and beyond with hope, love, and truth!

The name comes from Isaiah 61.
At The Oaks, we believe God restores lives from the inside out. We believe healing is possible. We believe freedom is real. And we believe transformation happens when people encounter the presence and love of God.
We believe God has anointed His people to bring good news. To bind up the brokenhearted. To proclaim freedom to the captive and release from darkness. To comfort those who mourn and provide hope for those who grieve. To exchange ashes for beauty, mourning for joy, and despair for praise.
Scripture calls us Oaks of righteousness, a planting of the Lord for the display of His splendor.
That is who we are becoming.
Our calling is simple and bold. To rebuild. To restore. To renew.
Our lives. Our families. Our city. Our nation. Our world.
One life at a time.
Why "The Oaks"?
Isaiah 61: 1-4
"The Spirit of the Sovereign Lord is on me, because the Lord has anointed me to proclaim good news to the poor. He has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim freedom for the captives and release from darkness for the prisoners,
2 to proclaim the year of the Lord’s favor and the day of vengeance of our God, to comfort all who mourn,
3 and provide for those who grieve in Zion—to bestow on them a crown of beauty instead of ashes, the oil of joy instead of mourning, and a garment of praise instead of a spirit of despair. They will be called oaks of righteousness, a planting of the Lord for the display of his splendor.
4 They will rebuild the ancient ruins and restore the places long devastated; they will renew the ruined cities that have been devastated for generations."
We believe that we as individuals and we the church need to live this out boldly in our lives, community and around the world.
